This microdegree gives you the practical ability to connect financial information with decision-making – starting with the basics of time value of money, investment analysis and risk assessment, and progressing to planning, budgeting and performance evaluation through managerial accounting.
You’ll learn how business numbers reflect strategic choices and how to use that insight in real-world decisions – whether it’s pricing, investment or operational planning.
It’s a mindset shift for those who want to get closer to strategic decision-making, even without a finance background.
This microdegree is designed for locally based professionals from non-business fields, career changers, entrepreneurs, non-business students and other interested individuals who want to start a career in international business without prior education in economics or finance. The programme is ideal for those looking to understand the fundamentals of finance and managerial decision-making and to strengthen their professional communication skills in a business context.
Graduates of the programme will receive a certificate with ECTS credits and practical skills. The microdegree also serves as a strong foundation for further studies at EBS bachelor's programme.
The on-site learning of the microdegree programme will take place from 3 February to 28 April 2026. Lectures and seminars are held twice a week on weekdays in a classroom setting. Classes are scheduled during daytime hours, typically between 10:15 and 17:15, although specific times may vary. No online sessions or live streams are provided.
