Introduction to Financial Management microderee programme starts
The winter-start English-language microdegree program "Introduction to Financial Management" provides participants with in-depth knowledge of securities valuation and risk management, enhancing analytical and decision-making skills in a practical business environment. The program focuses on securities and investment analysis and risk management, including managing business risks. Participants will gain knowledge of valuation models and risk mitigation techniques to assess the value of securities, manage business risks, and make ethically responsible decisions, considering market dynamics and corporate responsibilities.
The program is designed for individuals with existing knowledge of finance or economics who seek to further develop their skills. It is particularly suitable for those looking to enhance their analytical and decision-making skills in financial markets and investment evaluation.
Learning takes place in an international environment, within a small group alongside bachelor's degree students. In addition to the mentioned lecture days, the course workload includes independent assignments. Study sessions are scheduled on weekdays (2-3 times per week) from February 3 to May 20, with the exact timetable to be confirmed. Online lectures are not available.
Registration for the program has begun and will remain open until January 25 or until available spots are filled.
Participants are expected to
- have completed secondary education,
- possess English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level,
- and passed an interview with us. Book an online interview slot here (interviews do not take place between Christmas and New Year!).
The purchasing platform MYEBS will open at the end of December. Individuals or businesses can complete the purchase themselves. Additional information: avatudulikool@ebs.ee
NB! Please be advised that in case you are outside of EU/EEA member states and or if your intention is to pursue any short-term courses/programmes at the Open University, it's important to note that a residence permit for studying is exclusively issued for programs that lead to a formal degree. Unfortunately, this provision does not extend to microdegrees.
