Microdegree programme Sustainable and Green Transition: Strategies, Practices and Resource Management starts

Microdegree programme 'Sustainable and Green Transition: Strategies, Practices and Resource Management provides a comprehensive overview of the principles of sustainability and the green transition and how to apply them in business.
During the programme, you will acquire the knowledge and practical skills to:
- Understand the impact of climate change, biodiversity loss and overconsumption;
- integrate social, environmental and economic (ESG) aspects into corporate strategy and sustainability solutions.
- Manage critical raw materials effectively to enhance business sustainability and resilience.
- Analyze the role of the energy industry in business sustainability and develop strategies to optimize energy consumption and reduce environmental impact.
This nine-week master-level microdegree programme is designed for professionals who are responsible for implementing their company’s strategy or preparing their organisation for sustainability-related challenges.
The programme consists of four courses exploring the link between the sustainability crisis and entrepreneurship, and provides practical tools for designing and integrating sustainable strategies into core business objectives. Participants will gain a solid understanding of sustainability risks and opportunities, ESG integration, resource management, and the role of the energy sector in sustainable business transformation.
By applying ESG principles and sustainability reporting, companies can improve access to public procurements, international markets, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships—while also increasing their long-term competitiveness and credibility. The knowledge and skills gained through the programme contribute to building more resilient, future-ready organisations, thereby helping to strengthen the competitiveness of European companies in the global market.

Study
Learning will take place with EBS Masters students and, in addition to the lecture days mentioned in the programme, the course will also include independent work. Learning sessions will take place on Fridays and Saturdays over one week, from 10.00 to 17.00 (9 weeks in total) between 18 October and 13 December 2025.
Registration for the programme (the online consultation is already open) will be open until 10 October or until places become available. The reduced price is valid until 15 September. We recommend you to make the online consultation with an EBS representative before going on summer break and while early-bird price is still valid!

The programme is open to students with higher education only and who have already living permit in Estonia or EU countries.
On completion of the programme, learners will receive a certificate of continuing education and the credits obtained can be used towards a Master's degree. NB! Please be advised that in case you are outside of EU/EEA member states and or if your intention is to pursue any short-term courses/programmes at the Open University, it's important to note that a residence permit for studying is exclusively issued for programs that lead to a formal degree. Unfortunately, this provision does not extend to microdegrees.
