The quality label is awarded by the Education and Youth Agency as part of the project "Recognition of the Internship Process in Vocational and Higher Education." The aim of the label is to recognise vocational and higher education institutions for creating and implementing high-quality internship systems and to motivate schools in planning and implementing development activities related to internships.
Made Katsevic (EBS Internship System Project Manager) stated: "The quality label is a significant recognition of EBS's internship process at the bachelor's level in business and administration. We began updating the internship system at the end of 2020 and also participated in the 'Tiger Leap' project for developing vocational and higher education in line with labor market needs (PRÕM). This project helped us carry out the necessary development activities and kick-start the process."
Funding for the project: European Social Fund.
Project outputs:
- Training of internship supervisors from schools and companies
- Development of the educational institution's internship system
- Development and piloting of new forms of internships
- Internships for faculty and teachers at employers
- Involvement of interns in the educational process
Made Katsevic further commented: "The mentioned project and the intentional plan to update the internship system have directed us towards a path of change, resulting in several new collaborative projects and the establishment of a significant network between students, internship supervisors, mentors, and employers. The EBS internal internship day ('Career Day') and the cross-degree mentorship program for EBS students have become extremely popular. We are confident that the updated internship system provides the best opportunities for our current students and offers motivated and high-quality interns to employers. The received recognition and quality label provide confidence to all stakeholders that we are moving in the right direction and delivering valued quality."
