Over 200 Kazakhs took interest in studying at EBS

The Head of Bachelor studies Anto Liivat and Admission Specialist Liina Reimann attended the Education Fair 2019 on the invitation of Kazakhstan National Education Foundation Bolashak from October 7th to 12th.

The 9th largest country in the world, Kazakhstan is a rapidly developing financial and economic center of the Central Asian region. EBS participated in four exhibition days in Shymkent and Almaty.

 

According to the Head of Bachelor studies Anto Liivat, increasing the diversity of the EBS student body is one of the highest priorities of the university in the coming years. Liivat says: „Being the only business university in Estonia we have set a goal to a make the study environment here more and more international and we are doing our best every day to make our alumni think big and to receive a competitive education that would help them to succeed in the globalized economic environment.“

 

There are over 100 000 Kazakh students studying abroad, 30 of them in Estonian universities. Estonia is known in Kazakhstan as a digital and entrepreneurial country where education is highly valued. Liivat added: „I was delighted to see that over 200 young people at the Kazakh education fair were interested in bachelor, master and doctoral studies at EBS to increase their knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship and business administration in the digital society. I would also like to see in about ten years’ time EBS alumni running the most influential businesses in Central Asia.“
Participation at the fairs in Shymkent and Almaty gave EBS an opportunity to introduce the possibility of studying in Estonia and our curricula.
