
During his visit, Dr Salamone will meet with Mart Saarma, President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences, Anu Noorma, Chair of the Board of the Estonian Research Council, and Ülle Jaakma, Rector of the Estonian University of Life Sciences. In addition, he will visit the Riigikogu, the Tartu Observatory of the University of Tartu, and the animal biotechnology laboratories of the Estonian University of Life Sciences to learn about the work of Estonian researchers in the fields of animal reproductive biotechnology and embryo technology.
Dr Salamone is an internationally recognised expert who has published more than 80 scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals, supervised over 20 doctoral theses, and led numerous research and development projects that have resulted in the creation of several start-ups. His research and extensive international connections have made him an influential thought leader in biotechnology and veterinary medicine.
The visit will contribute to strengthening cooperation between Estonian and Argentine scientists and research institutions, opening up new opportunities for the development of international scientific projects and innovation. Dr Salamone will also deliver a lecture at the EBS Summer University on cooperation between universities and businesses.
