Overview
The International Business Administration programme is designed for people interested in economics and business who wish to acquire professional knowledge and skills to work in an international company or in the public sector. In addition to knowledge of economics and business, the programme also provides very good Business English language skills and an opportunity to specialize in marketing and communication or finance and accounting.
One can study International Business Administration in daytime or session-based format. Studies are conducted in English. During the first academic year students gain basic knowledge in the fields of business and management; the second and third academic year will additionally include subjects related to the selected specialization. Students interested in exchange studies have an opportunity to choose from a wide list of partner universities.

Graduate profile
The graduates of the programme are able to work as specialists in different functional areas or as middle managers in business or public sector organisations. They are also able to work in the positions of managers in the local offices of international companies, and in the position of developers and managers of business projects.
Double Degree from UK
Two degrees from two universities –Estonian Business School (EBS) and Lancaster University Management School (LUMS), plus experience of two countries - Estonia and United Kingdom - will give you many advantages and will be a great stepping stone for your future career.
First two study years you will spend at EBS studying the same curriculum as your EBS schoolmates (in some cases additional mathematics and statistics classes are required for the double degree programme). After completing the second year at EBS and having successfully passed LUMS admission interview you will transfer to Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) in the UK for another two years.
Specializations
During the first academic year students gain basic knowledge in the fields of business administration and economics; the second and the third academic year will include subjects related to the selected specialization: Marketing and Communication or Finance and Accounting.
Marketing and Communication
Which comes first, sales or marketing? What does it depend on? What is the relationship between success and reputation? By specializing in Marketing and Communication at EBS, you will receive thorough and practical answers to those as well as many other questions. A balanced focus on theory and practice will ensure that the bachelor students gain knowledge in marketing with the aim of implementing the knowledge in their everyday work.

Finance and Accounting
Finance and Accounting gives an overview of personal finance and financing of start-ups, investment management and risk analysis, as well as principles in corporate finance and taxation. All entrepreneurs need knowledge of and all companies specialists in finance. The specialization in Finance and Accounting provides an overview of the basic knowledge which is of critical importance to all entrepreneurs running small enterprises and financial specialists in larger companies.

Corporate partners
The programme is recognised by the CFA Institute meaning that our finance courses are taught in accordance with the requirements of CFA Level 1. Topics in the accounting courses are covered in line with the equivalent topics in the ACCA examinations.
EBS corporate partner for the International Business Administration Programme is Estonian Service Industry Association which unites knowledge intensive, creative and service enterprises. Over 120 members of the Association in the fields of intelligent business help EBS train the kind of specialists whom such enterprises need.
The application deadline for Estonian and EU candidates (incl. Turkey, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus and other countries who do not need visa to enter Estonia) for study year 2018/2019 is the 1st of July, 2018.
The application deadline for Finnish candidates is 1st of August, 2018.
Fees and Financing Options
For EU citizens - daytime studies
The semester tuition fee for study year 2018/2019 for Estonian and other EU citizens is the following:
- Paying in one part the semester fee is 2200 € / per semester
- Paying in two parts the semester fee is 2200 + 35 = 2235 € / per semester.
- The fee for one credit point is 85 € (tuition fee is calculated on basis of ECTS point when student studies part-time or would like to transfer some courses from another university and therefore does not need to take the whole/nominal programme).
- If you are a resident or a holder of a long-term residence permit in the Republic of Estonia you can pay in several instalments by using the Study Investment.
For EU citizens - session-based studies
The semester tuition fee for study year 2018/2019 during session-based studies for Estonian and other EU citizens is the following:
- Paying in one part the semester fee is 1900 € /per semester.
- Paying in two parts the semester fee is 1900 + 35 = 1935 € /per semester.
- The fee for one credit point is 70 EUR (tuition fee is calculated on basis of ECTS point when student studies part-time or would like to transfer some courses from another university and therefore does not need to take the whole/nominal programme).
- If you are a resident or a holder of a long-term residence permit in the Republic of Estonia you can pay in several instalments by using the Study Investment.
For non-EU citizens
- Tuition fee for first study year (2 semesters) is 4400 €. Tuition fee can be paid only in one instalment.

Admission
Admission process
- Apply through Dream Apply Student Admission Platform.
*Non-EU citizens need to pay the application fee (105€) once they have received the invoice through Dream Apply system. - Acceptance
Once the student has sent all necessary documents for applying, has obtained the required level of English of and has successfully passed the entrance process (incl. interview) the Admission Committee will decide upon the student's admission.*If you are a non-EU citizen, apply for temporary residence permit for studies in Estonia.
- Tuition fee payment
After being accepted the student will be issued the tuition fee invoice for one academic year. - Signing of the study contract
When the student has arrived to Estonia and to EBS, then the study contract is signed between the student and university.
