EBS and Ternopil University signed a Memorandum of Collaboration

Estonian Business School (EBS) and Ternopil National Economic University (TNEU) in Ukraine signed a Memorandum of Collaboration with the aim to update the training of specialists of business administration in Ukraine.

The first graduates of the Master´s Programme of Business Innovation of a Business School, founded at the Ternopil National Economic University (TNEU), were awarded graduation diplomas last week. This is an important milestone in the collaboration between EBS and TNEU. The Rector of EBS professor Arno Almann and the Rector of TNEU professor Andriy Krysovatyi signed a Memorandum of Collaboration that will soon be joined by the Ternopil Ivan Pul´uj National Technical University, the Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatyuk National Pedagogical University  and the Ternopil State Medical University.

The collaboration between EBS and TNEU started in 2015 When the Ministry of Foreign Affairs supported the foundation of a modern management- and business school at TNEU. Such collaboration will help to modernise the training of business administration specialists in the Ternopil region and make the TNEU a competence centre of entrepreneurship education that corresponds to the common principles of higher educational room in Europe.

Olav Aarna, a professor at EBS, received a notable personal recognition. Professor Aarna was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of TNEU for his contribution to the development of research and education activities at the university, for the enhancement of Ukraine´s intellectual potential and the international position of TNEU.

The first graduates of the Master´s Programme of Business Innovation were also welcomed by the Rector of the Estonian Business School Arno Almann: “The Business Innovations Master Program you have been graduated from is extremely important in the current environment. It is very important to implement those innovations in all spheres of activity and particularly in education. You have had a good opportunity to acquire all necessary knowledge, to share experience, and to gain new skills and fulfill yourselves. I wish you continuous further development and confidence in achieving success. You are a real confirmation of efficiency and potential of cooperation between the Estonian Business School and the Ternopil National Economic University Business School”.

The graduates were also welcomed by the Deputy Mayor Leonid Oleksiyovych Bytsiura, the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Research of the Ternopil National Economic University (international affairs) Hryhoriy Leonardovych Monastyrskiy, the project leader from EBS professor Olav Aarna and PhD student Mart Kikas, the Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Interbank Currency Exchange Anatoliy Ivanovych Huley, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Yaroslav Yosypovych Hrytsak, business partners who shared their practical experience with the students during the academic courses, the faculty, friends and family.
