In celebration of its 35th anniversary, EBS has initiated a fund aimed at addressing the challenges faced by educational entrepreneurship - the EBS Impact Fund. One of its key objectives for the coming years is to unite efforts to make the Estonian education market more open, thereby adapting more quickly to new technologies and global competition. Another goal is to provide private capital with more equal opportunities to offer their products and services in the education market.

"There are many enthusiastic educational entrepreneurs in Estonia who are very skilled at creating new products and initiatives, until they reach the market entry phase. Unfortunately, the education market currently subsidizes only selected service providers. As a byproduct of good intentions, ambitious education entrepreneurs and global competitors are kept away from the education market. As a result, the good ideas often end up in a deadlock," explains Mart Habakuk, Chancellor of EBS, the reasons for establishing the fund.

Habakuk states, "The EBS Impact Fund was created to unite forces of EBS and its more than 7,000 alumni, supporting initiatives in educational innovation through public and private sector collaboration, which will help make quality education more accessible and globally competitive."

The focus areas of the EBS Impact Fund are threefold: education (educational innovation, need-based scholarships); smarter and more efficient nation (research-based proposals); and the Eedu campus (investments in school and public spaces).

We invite all interested parties - entrepreneurs, alumni, faculty, and education enthusiasts - to contribute and participate in the fund's activities. Everyone's support and involvement are crucial to shaping our common future and creating an educational environment characterized by innovation, accessibility, and competitiveness.

Let's unite our forces because as a community, we can achieve more! Contributions to the fund can be made through ideas, activities, or financing.
