This is the only bachelor's program at EBS that can be completed in Estonian - acquiring in-depth knowledge in entrepreneurship and business administration comfortably in your mother tongue. The flexible format of session study is particularly suitable for those who want to combine their studies with work or family life.
Katri Kerem, the program curator, adds: 'The session study program in Entrepreneurship and Business Administration is specifically designed for working professionals, offering flexible study arrangements, theoretical foundations, and practical knowledge essential for a successful career both at the current workplace and in the future. The subjects taught at EBS combine evidence-based solutions with real-life examples, ensuring an education that is not only academically sound but also highly valued in the job market.'
Those who obtain a Bachelor's degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Administration gain a valuable systematic overview of business theories, models, and practices. The course of study develops several important skills, such as analytical thinking, strategic planning, and critical thinking. University education is also an important engine for personal development and self-actualization, offering different perspectives and new ideas and broadening the mind. For people who have been in the workforce for a longer time, studying at EBS offers a chance to break out of the daily routine. In addition, obtaining a bachelor's degree is a personal achievement that brings increased confidence, satisfaction, and encourages development outside the usual work environment.
'Our lecturers, who are recognized specialists in their field, bring real-world work experiences into the studies. EBS's quality education is widely recognized and opens new doors for career advancement. Joining the EBS family also means being part of an active and supportive community and creating a valuable network,' explains Kerem, why to study at EBS.
Artur Rennel, a student in the session study group of the Entrepreneurship and Business Administration programme, says that the decision to choose EBS came very naturally, as he had only heard positive feedback about the school. 'Where else to learn about the business field, if not at EBS?' In addition, he received recommendations and encouragement from his family acquaintances and members, for whom the university has played a significant role in their success.
In session study, contact hours take place in the evenings, and the study requires a larger amount of independent work compared to day study. Rennel's main doubts were about the session study format, how to cope with it, and whether all the material is adequately learnable. 'Everything depends on oneself - if you are willing to invest time, then everything is doable,' he is now convinced and finds such a form of study just right for himself. Having a year of experience, he can confirm that joining the studies in January motivates even more to strive and delve deeper.
Rennel finds the most memorable and beneficial course so far to be 'Leadership Self-Development and Learning Strategies'. He has formed a principle based on what he learned at school, that if you take away even one or two new pieces of knowledge from each class, the learning activity has fulfilled its purpose. Commenting on his plans within the framework of bachelor's studies, Rennel mentions that since he has more time resources and EBS offers a wide range of quality and interesting courses, he plans to choose several additional courses, for example, from the mathematics and finance fields. 'My thirst for knowledge is great and I can satisfy it at EBS.'
Joining the group starting in mid-January offers significant time savings - by completing part of the program in the spring semester of 2024, the future student will already have one semester completed by September. It is also a good opportunity to move on from a school or field of study where studies were started in September but do not meet expectations, before the new autumn.
Kerem encourages applying: 'Regardless of whether the study plan has been long in the making or is more of a spontaneous decision, there's no point in delaying the start.'
The deadline for submitting applications for admission interviews is January 15th. More information and application submission here.
