September 21 is St Mathew´s Day. For EBS students and alumni it also means the joint golf tournament. This year the 21 September was Friday and the Habakuk Cup Invitational 2018 gathered 38 participants from Tallinn and Helsinki, including the alumni from among the first graduates of EBS.

The tournament took place on the familiar courses of Estonia Golf and Country Club, whereas this time it was a team event. The winning team consisted of Peep Aaviksoo, Raivo Velsberg, Allan Epner and Philip Verzun. The winning team concluded that they won the cup due to good teamwork.

The exciting tournament finished with a joint dinner where the prizes were drawn and winners awarded. It was also said the joint goal of SA Estonian Business School and Metro Capital is to increase the number of EBS golf players. "We will equip EGCC with new quality golf balls and all the EBS students will have the range balls free of charge," said the Head of EBS Executive Education Peep Aaviksoo.

There is a plan to introduce a new subject starting from the next academic year that deals with the principles of golf, different game plans, thinking and psychology. "We are in the process of developing such a course that will include the green card," said Aaviksoo. The co-developer of the new course to EBS is Estonian Golf and Country Club.

The next EBS golf tournaments will take place in Finland in the summer of 2019 and at Jõelähtme on 21 September 2019.
