According to Kitsing cooperation in the field of innovation plays a vital role in strengthening common initiatives in the digital, energy and transport infrastructure development. “The main challenge is very diverse levels of innovation ecosystems in the Three Seas region,” said Kitsing. “Key drivers for future are essentially the nature of cooperation within the European Union and capacity to make sustainable investments for advancing innovation infrastructure,” added Kitsing.
The 3SI unites countries from the Baltic Sea, Black Sea and Adriatic Sea. The initiative was launched in 2015. The 3SI investment fund aims to allocate 3-5 billion euros for advancing cooperation in digital, energy and transport areas.
