The new

Fresh off the press, Performance Challenges in Organizational Sustainability: Practices from Public and Private Sectors is the latest contribution to sustainability research, edited by Estonian Business School researchers Mari Kooskora and Aleksandra Kekkonen. Published by Springer, the book brings together the work of over 20 contributors to explore critical challenges and solutions in integrating sustainability into organizational practices, both in the private and public sectors.

“The book serves as an essential resource for a wide audience,” says Dr. Kekkonen, highlighting its relevance for academics, researchers, and master’s and doctoral students—especially those studying sustainability—as well as for participants in executive training programs. “It is equally beneficial for practitioners, policymakers, public officials, and organizational leaders aiming to transform their organizations into more sustainable entities.”

Professor Kooskora describes the new volume as a “holistic and comprehensive exploration of the challenges and opportunities organizations face in achieving sustainable performance across sectors.”

Critical topics, including sustainable human capital management, ESG strategies and frameworks, responsible marketing practices, and green transition policies are covered by the authors. As an important advantage, a range of case studies illustrating sustainability challenges and solutions in organizational contexts are put forward within its pages.

We are confident that Performance Challenges in Organizational Sustainability will serve as an invaluable resource for academics, policymakers, and professionals committed to advancing sustainability practices.
