Estonian Business School (EBS) is proud to welcome Bengt Holmström, Nobel Prize winning economist, Professor Emeritus at MIT, and EBS Honorary Doctor, for a lecture at the EBS Summer School on August 14, 2025. His talk will explore global financial landscape with particular focus on debt and the role of digital payments.  

From 11–13 August 2025, Dr Daniel Salamone, President of the National Scientific and Technological Research Council of Argentina (CONICET), will be visiting Estonia. The visit is taking place at the invitation of the Estonian Business School (EBS) and will include meetings with leaders in Estonia’s science and education sectors.

At its meeting on 8 July, the Senate of Estonian Business School (EBS) confirmed Professor Meelis Kitsing as Rector, who will continue in his current role. Kitsing will commence his renewed mandate on 1 August, with the aim of further developing EBS as a business university with a strong international profile and significant societal impact.

The Bachelor’s programme in International Business Administration at Estonian Business School (EBS) has become the first programme in Estonia to receive one of the world’s most prestigious quality recognitions — the EFMD Programme Accreditation — for a period of five years. EBS had previously been awarded the accreditation for three years, but this latest five-year confirmation reflects significant progress and the strong trust placed in the programme by the international evaluation committee.

Many of us reach a point in our professional lives when we ask ourselves, “Is this it?” The routine becomes too comfortable, growth stagnates, and the thought emerges that there might be something more. The desire to grow, to think on a larger scale, and to do something meaningful is not accidental. At such a moment, education becomes a strategic tool.

The year was 1988; the ideological directions were set, but one man, Madis Habakuk, envisioned a different future... For 35 years, EBS has been striving towards this alternative future every day. This remains crucial today, as we face changing expectations from people and society towards education. Education is and will always be the foundation upon which individuals can build a strong career and life.
