EBS Alumni Golf takes place for the 12th time. This event has established itself in the calendar of EBS students and it is good to see that a record number of participants may be expected this year. The winner of class A in 2015 Andres Soo and the winner of the stoke play Janar Toomesso talk about golf and EBS.
Janar Toomesso is a four-time winner of stroke play of the tournament and planning to come and defend his title this year as well. Why is EBS Alumni Golf in the list of the events important to him? Toomesso finds it an event where it is possible to make a bow to knowledge and relate it to his passionate hobby: „There are your business partners and just good friends.“ Janar Toomesso is a three-time Estonian champion in team golf, he has won a bronze medal in the Estonian Championship,a Mida-AM gold medal. In addition, Toomesso is also a three-time silver medal winner in the -2 Par course.
Andres Soo considers himself a lower than average active competitor, but autumn and less tense schedule enables to do more sport in the open air. He says about his achievements in golf the following: „There are a few times when I have been very close to my dream of 80 strokes, but until now the dream has not come true. Of course I may consider as a good result such competitions that have finished successfully. Last year I managed to strike the dream of every golf player Hole-in-One.“
Andres Soo is also planning to be present at the Estonian Golf&Country Club on 21st September.
„All the time at our MBA Entrepreneurship studies was rather colourful, whereas one of the most emotional moments was our study trip to China, where my understanding of the world became much broader in a relatively short period of time. Course mates have become friends for the lifetime, even though we sometimes communicate less,“ recalls Janar Toomesso his studies at EBS. Andres Soo confirms the words of Toomesso by saying that the school helped to prove and disprove some important business experience. Soo points out the lectures given by Ülle Pihlak and Hardo Pajula as memorable events from the time of studies.
