Liya Pagalashvili

Liya Palagashvili is a Senior Research Fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University. Her primary research interests include entrepreneurship, regulation, and the gig economy. She has published academic articles, book chapters, policy papers, and articles in media outlets such as the New York Times and Wall Street Journal. In 2016, she was named one of the Forbes' "30 under 30" in Law & Policy. Palagashvili was an Assistant Professor of Economics at State University of New York-Purchase, a Visiting Scholar in the Department of Political Economy at King’s College London, and the Law & Economics Fellow at New York University School of Law. She earned her Ph.D. in economics from George Mason University.
