On St.Matthew’s Day, 21 September the traditional golf tournament EBS Habakuk Cup took place on the Estonian Golf & Country Club Sea Course. 41 golfers, all connected to EBS as alumni, staff or partners, tested their playing and cooperation skills in team Stableford format.

There were 11 teams on the golf course. The result of the third and fourth place team was equal - 89 points. The number of points collected from the last nine tracks became decisive, which left the team, which included Hardi Isok, Patrick Hermann, Kristine Ross and Kerli Maro, in fourth place and lifted the team Andres Soo, Margus Masing, Kristi Õng and Tiit Orloff to the podium. Second place team members Renato Sydler, Aivar Kangust, Piia Sandla and Rain Lokotar scored 90 points. Winning team including Rain Uusküla, Margarita Ross, Peeter Kross and Allan Epner achieved an overwhelming victory with 95 points. See all the results here.

Margus Leiar won the special competition “Closest to the pin” on the 10th hole, his ball stopped at the distance of 1.48 m from the flag. Rainer Boberg made the longest drive on 18th hole.

It has always been a friendly tradition in the EBS golf tournament for competitors to bring prizes and gifts that introduce their company or activities. Again, no one had to leave empty-handed. Altia Plc awarded all the best 3 teams with their products, EBS, EBS Executive Education, Büroomaailm, MR Studio, FuseBox, Ideal OÜ, Estonian Golf School, Estonian Golf & Country Club, Viljar Jaamu and Tiit Orloff kindly shared lottery prizes.

The names of the winning team will be added to the EBS Habakuk Cup trophy and all team members can choose courses worth 500 euros from myEBS.ee website.

The alumni golf competition is over for this year, but as the Head of EBS Executive Education Peep Aaviksoo said at the award ceremony: “Our doors are open to alumni, come and see the changes we have made in the EBS campus in recent years, bring your children and colleagues with you and let them feel the spirit of EBS too. You are always welcome!”

Many thanks to all the participants and see you again on St.Matthew’s Day 2021!
