Laura Remmelgas

As an adviser in the Climate Department of the Estonian Ministry of Environment, Laura is responsible for coordinating climate policy implementation across policy areas to guarantee that climate-related goals and activities necessary to fulfill them are considered in the strategic planning processes.

Laura is also head of the climate policy working group designing the Estonian Environmental development plan. The task of the working group is to define the key policy instruments to ensure that by 2030 Estonia moves on the appropriate course towards climate neutrality and is resistant to the impact of climate change.

Laura has a master’s degree in the Europeanization of governance and politics and a Master of Science in environmental management and policy.
