Marko Rillo (PhD, MA) is the Head of MBA Programme.
Marko is an IT and consultancy entrepreneur. As a consultant, he has helped to renew business models, create innovative initiatives and formulate new strategies in various countries upon the request of various companies, the European Commission, the EBRD or the United Nations.
Marko has a PhD Degree in Management from the University of St.Gallen (Switzerland). His doctoral thesis focused on Organizational Ambidexterity and strategy practices in telecommunication firms. In other words - he studied how managers can be both innovative and effective at the same time. He has also researched playfulness in the workplace by popularizing and developing the LEGO Serious Play methodology.
He has a master's degree in economics from TalTech and a bachelor's degree in business from Estonian Business School. In the field of strategy and innovation, he has also studied at INSEAD, IESE, Aarhus University and Lappeenranta University of Technology.
Marko has taught courses on innovation management, strategic management, change management and VUCA innovation practices at EBS.
In his spare time, he runs the social initiative Helge Kool, which helps make school days happier for students.
