EBS awarded the title of Associate Professor Emeritus to Peeter Kross for his long-term contribution to the activities and development of the university.

The quality assessment council in the Estonian Quality Agency for Higher and Vocational Education (EKKA) decided to accredit the Estonian Business School for seven years.

Maths tends to be considered a difficult subject by all learners, but men and women study it slightly differently. Researchers from the University of Tartu (UT) and the Estonian Business School (EBS) write, for example, that women are more likely to memorise formulas while men look for connections between real life and what they are learning.

EBS senior research fellow Ave Lauren presented an annual report on citizenship and migration policy at the annual conference of the European Migration Network (EMN), entitled ‘Citizenship and migration – today and tomorrow’ on 27 October. This report is issued every year by the EMN and financed by the European Commission. It is aimed at Estonian agencies and the general public.

The IV EBS Olympics, which took place in Õismäe Sports Hall on 17 October, attracted 104 participants from the EBS family, a record number. Both EBS university and high school students participated in the games, as well as exchange students, alumni, and scholars from the Helsinki campus.

The Golden Haba Gala is a unique and special tradition to honour and give thanks to our EBS family. Haba Gala is our university’s recognition event, held since 1999 and organised by the Student Council. The name “Golden Haba” comes from EBS’s founder Madis Habakuk.
