Muu info

I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Nova Southeastern University in South Florida and my teaching certificate through Tartu University. Over the past 26 years, I have taught in 9 schools in 3 countries: the United States, Russia and Estonia. During that time I have taught swimming, PE, geography, history, English, Business English, literature and civics. Currently, I teach history, geography, English and literature to the European Studies and International students in EBS Gymnasium as I have a lot of experience teaching international students. My old school in Miami had many students from Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Israel. I also worked with Armenian and Georgian students in Moscow, along with native Russians from many parts of the country. At EBS, I have taught students from Italy, Georgia, China, Poland, Egypt, Finland and the United States.

I am a full believer in the Protestant work ethic and the maxim ‘Idle hands are the Devil’s tools,’ so I like to keep myself busy at all times. In my free time I work out and run several times a week to keep fit. I also like to read and do research on topics I find to be very interesting. This includes ancient and medieval history, World War II, current events and the early books of the Bible.

A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty. (Winston Churchill)
