EBS invites all students, alumni, former and current employees, and good cooperation partners to a festive gala dedicated to the EBS 35th anniversary, on December 7th 2023 in Estonia Concert Hall.

EBS is sincerely proud of its large alumni community, a community that grows stronger with each passing year. Regardless of the era, our most treasured asset remains our alumni. As part of the celebrations of EBS 35, EBS will be open for a special event on two evenings in November, 14 and 15 - for EBS Homecoming. This event is not just about opening doors, it is a chance to catch up with old friends, relive fond memories, and make new ones.

In honour of the 35th anniversary of EBS, we are announcing a speech competition and inviting both EBS high school and university students to participate in it. The winner's speeches of both categories will be presented during an EBS 35 gala ceremony in Estonia Concert Hall on December 7.

On October 14th, the EBS Olympics, an annual sports event organized by the EBS Sports Club, took place for the 7th time. This year, there were 7 participating teams and a total of 80 participants.

Anto Liivat, EBS's Head of Bachelor Studies, and Liina Reimann, Head of Student Experience, represented the university at the International Education Fair 2023 in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, at the region's largest international education fair.

Binance, the world's leading blockchain and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider behind the largest exchange, and EBS are hosting an educational guest lecture on the topic of Crypto Fundamentals to expand blockchain education in Estonia on October 12th 2023.

The role of the teacher is invaluable, both in society and in the development of each individual. Teachers undoubtedly do more than merely impart knowledge. They light up our souls and mold our future. EBS can be proud of its diverse, and highly professional community of teachers and lecturers.

Sofia Blokhin, a member of Team Estonia, secured first place in the G-18 class at the European Youth Rapid Chess Championships in Brežice, Slovenia. Ranked third in the 18-year-old girls' category, Blokhin clinched the first six games consecutively, ensuring a firm lead even before the final round. At the end of seven rounds, she came in first with six points out of 12 players.

Establishing contacts and engaging with organizations and partners from different countries is invaluable. The small size of Estonia's business and educational sectors becomes especially noticeable when attending big international events. In early September, EBS Rector, Meelis Kitsing, was in Karpacz, Poland, to present at the Economic Forum, a prominent gathering with 5,000 attendees. Already 32nd in a row, this event stands as the largest of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe.

What connects an EBS high school student, head of the Executive Coaching Centre, former EBS rector, and fresh bachelor student? Golf! Every autumn, the EBS golfing community meets in the EBS Madis Habakuk Cup Invitational. This tradition has been going on for 18 years now and traditionally they meet on Madis Habakuk's name day, 21 September. However, this time the event was special in many ways.

EBS is no longer just a home for studying and research. Alongside them, incubators and business accelerators are increasingly finding their place. Our doors are always open to businesses that want to foster innovation and bring new ideas to life. A good example of this is the Tallinn Artificial Intelligence and Automation Hackathon, which took place at the EBS premises on 14-15 September.
