Elsa James is an entrepreneurial-minded alumnus that started working for Rovio Entertainment Corporation as a social media trainee before having any educational background in that field. She now holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from EBS Helsinki and is working as a marketing specialist at Rovio.
The Golden Haba Gala is a unique and special tradition to honour and give thanks to our EBS family. Haba Gala is our university’s recognition event, held since 1999 and organised by the Student Council. The name “Golden Haba” comes from EBS’s founder Madis Habakuk.

Dr. Xiaotian Zhang was appointed as Vice Rector of EBS Helsinki on 3 August. At EBS Helsinki, Zhang’s primary responsibilities will include the management and development of the Helsinki campus in Ruoholahti.
On St.Matthew’s Day, 21 September the traditional golf tournament EBS Habakuk Cup took place on the Estonian Golf & Country Club Sea Course. 41 golfers, all connected to EBS as alumni, staff or partners, tested their playing and cooperation skills in team Stableford format.

On 28 August, everyone at EBS had the opportunity to take part in something truly fun: community festival EBStival took place in the EBS court in Tallinn.
For the first time in the history of EBS, the university organised Introweek – a week full of useful information, study sessions and various entertaining events to give first-year students the opportunity to settle in and meet their peers.
