Estonian Business School celebrates once again a significant milestone in late June as ambitious, entrepreneurial, and responsible high school and university graduates with diverse knowledge and practical skills are sent off into the world of business and commerce.

As Stephen Ball, who has written the foreword to the book, puts it, "Privatisation is not what you think it is." What we know and don’t know about it is discussed in the book's introduction by four authors of four different chapters: Piia Seppänen from the University of Turku, Triin Lauri from Tallinn University, Simona Ferraro from Taltech, and Kaire Põder from EBS.

On 24th May 2024, the conference "When the Unthinkable Happens" took place in Tallinn, marking the establishment of the Tallinn International Aldous Huxley Centre. The event provided an opportunity to listen to renowned speakers and delve into the legacy of Aldous Huxley, one of the most influential authors of the 20th century.

The new business association unites, supports and represents cleantech companies engaged in the development, commercialization, usage, financing and other ways of supporting products, services and processes that save the environment and climate.

Another significant step has been taken in promoting diversity and inclusion in Estonia. On the 8th of May 2024, a total of twenty organisations from both the public and private sectors signed the Diversity Agreement, publicly affirming their commitment to respecting human diversity and adhering to principles of equal treatment.

Currently, in Estonia, the gender pay gap between men and women stands at 17%, one of the largest in Europe. Women particularly lose out on salary when they take maternity leave. Upon returning to work, they often find themselves sidelined from special projects and promotions, a phenomenon that could be termed a 'motherhood penalty'.

Entrepreneurship education has always been a challenging task, yet the EBS Impactful Entrepreneurship programme has managed to breathe new life into it. Entrepreneurship education shouldn't merely entail the transmission of business knowledge but should also help shape an entrepreneurial mindset, considering the broader social context in which entrepreneurship operates today. Thus, the innovative Impactful Entrepreneurship curriculum at EBS aims not only to develop students' practical entrepreneurial skills but also to broaden their worldview, encouraging them to act responsibly and creatively.

On May 2, 2024, the rectors of the Estonian Academy of Arts and the Estonian Business School signed a cooperation agreement between the two schools. As part of this cooperation, a ten-month micro-degree program titled "Executive Academy in Leading and Designing Transition" will begin in the fall, aimed at helping leaders and entrepreneurs better cope with future transformative conditions and find solutions to new types of challenges.
